On the occasion of the first edition of The Venice Glass Week on Monday, September 11 from 16:00 to 19:30 on the first floor in the boardroom of Calle Larga XXII of Venice Chamber of Commerce, Rovigo Delta Lagunare, the conference Vetro & Murano dialogues for an entrepreneurial future of culture, tradition and innovation will be held.

The conference is organized by Ca ‘Foscari University of Venice in collaboration with the Consorzio Promovetro Murano and Chamber of Commerce.

A moment of reflection and comparison between entrepreneurs, cultural organizations, institutions, citizenship starting from a research program promoted by the Department of Management on the economic and cultural identity of glass companies.

The purpose of the Round Table is to open a synergic dialogue between several city realities to share actions, modes and tools of promotion and protection of what is a living heritage, both cultural and economic, individual and collective.

At the end of the round table, a concrete example of synergy between the world of innovation and businesses will be presented, thanks to the project “Glass Matters | Innovation through Technology “promoted by DEL_FabLab – Ca ‘Foscari University of Venice, Department of Management and Murano Promotion Consortium. A practical and educational process on glass processing started in May, during which six glassmasters were joined by many designers with 3D modeling skills and rapid prototyping tools to develop innovative designs for handicrafts.

A project supported by the Consortium, whose aim was also to create an innovation path in Murano, contributing to the development of new processing techniques and the creation of new glass manipulation tools.

Thanks to the patronage of the Veneto Rovigo Delta Lagunare Chamber of Commerce, the projects developed during the workshop will be exhibited during the Venice Glass Week on the ground floor of the Calle Larga XXII March Chamber Room from 11 to 17 September.
