The keys to the city and a refined Murano glass hand made green plate, decorated with gold leaf by a Murano glass artisan; those will be the awards given to Myung-Whun Chung, at Teatro la Fenice, on Saturday 20th July, at 12 o’clock. The great Korean orchestra conductor is the winner of the 26th edition of the Una vita nella Musica Award and, after the great success of his edition of Othello, will perform on Friday 19th Verdi’s Requiem at Dogi’s Palace.

 Master Chung will receive a Murano glass plate, marked with the Vetro Artistico® Murano trademark, certification for the origin of the product. This gift belongs to the initiatives and collaboration between Consorzio Promovetro and Teatro la Fenice, to bring Venice’s excellences, artistic Murano Glass and music, around the world. Their aim is to spread their images on a international level.

During the event the “new generation” awards will be given. These are three beautiful typical Murano glass goblets, decorated in gold leaf, which will be given to the young composer Jorg Widmann, the music scholar Marco Targa and the young musician Herbert Schuch
