The winning collaboration between the excellence of Venetian craftsmanship and the city marathon was renewed
On the occasion of the 34th Huawei Venicemarathon on Sunday 27 October 2019 the winning collaboration between the artistic Murano glass and the famous sporting event was renewed. The run involved over 13 thousand runners who participated in the marathon and its sister race, the VM10K.
The first three male winners and the first three female winners of the two competitions received awards in Murano glass marked by the Veneto Region Vetro Artistico® Murano trademark, made by Barbini Specchi Veneziani artisans, company of the Consorzio Promovetro Murano and concessionaire of the Vetro Artistico® Murano trademark specialized in the art of glass engraving and the production of ancient and modern Venetian mirrors, as well as in the restoration of antique mirrors.
The trophies come from a long collaboration between the organizers of the marathon and the Consorzio Promovetro Murano, a winning combination that aims to promote excellence in Venetian craftsmanship and bring the ancient artisan glass art to the stage of one of the most important international sports events taking place in Venice.
