A prestigious art work, created in iron, stone and Murano glass by Consorzio Promovetro, managing authority for the Vetro Artistico® Murano tradeamark, and the artist and blacksmith Valentino Moro, was inaugurated on 9th May, one week before the cycle race “Il Giro d’ Italia” which will happen on 16th of May.
Dove il Prosecco Incontra il Mare is the title of the work, placed at the Muro of Cà del Poggio.
The cyclists, but also the aficionados, racing through the vineyards, will reach this work of art, which summarises the element of the territory and also two of the most important products Made in Italy: Prosecco and Murano Glass.
The artwork had been created by the artist and blacksmith Valentino Moro with the collaboration of Consorzio Promovetro and it represents the relationship among the hill of Treviso and the “Serenissima”.
Iron and Murano glass, earth and sea, are connected in an artwork and represented by a vineyard embracing the Muro di Cà del Poggio, in a celebration of the passions and gestures of these people.
And in this artwork the Vetro Artistico® Murano trademark represents the only legally recognised guarantee for the origin of Murano Glass.
Says Luciano Gambaro, President of Consorzio Promovetro:
The relationship among Venice and this territory is very strong and this work well represents the passion and efforts common to Murano glass craftsmen, wine producers and cyclists, to produce glass, wine and to win a race.
The presentation to the public of the artwork will be on May 16th, when “Il Giro d’ Italia” will happen in Ca’ del Poggio. A simple hill among the vineyards will become a tribute to Murano, Venice, and the land of Prosecco.
